Thessaloniki woman gets jail time for pension fraud
A 50-year-old woman in Thessaloniki has been sentenced to five years in jail for collecting her dead father’s pension between 2000 and 2011.
The scam was revealed following an inspection by the authorities.
The court rejected the defendant’s assertion that she was the victim of a legal error.
