Athens police precincts probed over allegations of dodgy dealings

Officers of the police force’s internal affairs division on Tuesday were investigating the police precincts of Nikaia, Rendi and Kaminia following claims by Pakistani nationals that police officers allowed them to sell contraband cigarettes on the condition that they gave them a part of their profits.

The raids on the precincts were ordered as part of a police probe into possible links between the police and Golden Dawn, sources said.
