Transport minister dismisses OASA CEO, board

Transport Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis on Wednesday demanded the resignation of the Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) CEO, Alexandros Deloukas, as well as the company’s board of directors.

The ministry cited the inability of the board to handle the transport organization’s pending issues which prevented the company from functioning properly as the reason behind the dismissals.

Deloukas was appointed to the organization on the recommendation of Democratic Left, during the time when the party was a junior member of the coalition government.
