Bear shot to death in Kalambaka

A bear was found dead, of a gunshot wound, in a forest near Kalambaka in Greece’s Thessaly region earlier this week. Experts said that the animal was about 20 years old and weighed 200-250 kilos.

They said the bear had died as a result of wounds to the head caused by shotgun fire four of five days ago. Signs of wild boar in the forest led experts to believe that the bear may have been accidentally shot by a hunter.
