Citizen Information Centers to handle Athens applications for protection from power disconnection

Residents living within the boundaries of the City of Athens will be able to visit one of seven Citizen Information Centers (KEP) from Thursday until Wednesday, December 18, to prevent having their electricity cut off.

Homeowners who are facing difficulties can bring their ID cards and electricity bills, copies of which the municipality will send to the Public Power Corporation.

The centers will be open to the public between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The government has said it will ensure that homeowners are not disconnected from the power grid if they cannot pay their bills and that those who have already been cut off will be reconnected.
