Primary school teachers strike Friday, secondary on April 9
Primary school teachers will stage a 24-hour strike on Friday, their union, DOE, announced on Wednesday.
They will also hold a demonstration in front of the Education Ministry in northern Athens at noon.
Next week, secondary schools will be closed during a general strike on April 9, the OTOE secondary school teachers’ union has announced. Teachers at Greece’s state schools are protesting an overhaul of the education sector as well as staff assessments conducted as part of efforts to streamline the civil service.
