More Skouries suspects released, handed restraining orders

Another 10 people who were detained last year following an attack on a gold mine in Skouries, Halkidiki, were granted conditional release on Tuesday after being questioned by a magistrate in northern Greece.

Six were bailed on Monday.

The defendants were ordered not to go within a 4-kilometer radius of the gold mine and to stay at least 10 meters away from the miners.

Another 13 protesters are to face the magistrate on Wednesday.

The 29 suspects face charges that include forming a criminal organization.
