Two suspects in Mani murder case remanded
Two 18-year-olds accused of murdering two men in Mani last week during a deal over anabolic steroids that went wrong were remanded in custody on Monday after testifying before an investigating magistrate in Kalamata.
Relatives of the victims – Constantinos Sgouros, 26 and Yiannis Kommatis, 25 – staged a protest outside the court earlier in the day when the two teenagers arrived for questioning.
It appears that the murders were prompted by the failure of the two victims to procure some 800 euros’ worth of steroids that the two teenagers are alleged to have ordered, prompting an argument that led to the shootings.
