ATHEX parcel bomb sender in jail for police station attack

A 28-year-old man has been charged with sending a parcel bomb to the Athens Stock Exchange on October 2.

The bomb was intercepted in the mailroom and did not disrupt trade.

Police said the 28-year-old, who was identified following forensic laboratory testing, was already in jail pending trial in connection with an attack on a police station in Mesolongi, western Greece, on October 30.
