Police arrest suspected Xeros accomplice

A 23-year-old man believed to be an accomplice of convicted November 17 terrorist Christodoulos Xeros was arrested Wednesday in Glyfada, south of Athens, police said.

The suspect is believed to have stolen the white van that was found earlier this month in the western Athenian suburb of Aegaleo. Police suspect Xeros was planning to use the van in an attack against Korydallos Prison. Plans for the jailbreak were found in one of his safe-houses.

The 23-year-old was set to appear before a prosecutor Thursday.
