Fugitive spotted and caught near Corinth

One of three men who escaped from a police holding cell in Corinth, west of Athens, on February 27 was recaptured on Thursday.

Police said that a member of the DIAS motorcycle-riding squad spotted the 35-year-old near the village of Examilia.

The fugitive was riding a stolen motorcycle.

Officers said the man, whose identity has not been made public, attempted to resist arrest.

The motorcycle was returned to its owner.
