Police in Ioannina, northwestern Greece, are to conduct a new round of interviews with students at the city’s Dairy School and other acquaintances of missing student Vangelis Giakoumakis in a bid to glean further insights that might yield clues into his disappearance.
Police had been due to send Giakoumakis’s file to a prosecutor. But officers decided to re-examine key witnesses, including a Cypriot student who told the media in recent days that Giakoumakis had been bullied. Giakoumakis was last seen walking into Ioannina city center on February 6. He had left his phone and wallet in his dormitory room.
