Gov’t spokesman Sakellaridis resigns from council position
Government spokesman Gavrill Sakellaridis on Monday officially resigned from his position as municipal councilor at Athens City Hall as the appointment to his new role following the January 25 general elections has made it impossible for him to hold both positions.
Sakellaridis notified Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis of his resignation in a letter, remarking that his time on the council “was an exceptionally rich experience.”
