Greek energy minister starts two-day visit to Russia on Monday

Energy Minister Panayiotis Lafazanis is due to meet his Russian counterpart Alexander Novak and the chief executive of energy giant Gazprom, Alexey Miller, in Moscow on Monday.

Lafazanis’s ministry said in a statement on Saturday that energy issues would be at the center of his discussions in Moscow, where he will be joined by SYRIZA’s parliamentary spokesman Thanasis Petrakos.

The ministry said that the trip is taking place following an invitation from Novak.
