Undersea earthquake hits south of Crete

A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck under the Mediterranean seabed south of the Greek island of Crete on Monday.

Local authorities said there were no immediate reports of injuries or serious damage.

The quake’s epicenter was 63 kilometers southeast of Tybakio, according to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens.
