Committee to examine causes of Thessaloniki metro delay
Following a visit Tuesday to Thessaloniki, where construction of the city’s metro has halted, Alternate Minister for Infrastructure Christos Spirtzis announced the creation of a committee that will assess the state of the project.
The panel will be made up of representatives from Attiko Metro, which is managing the project, the consortium that won the tender and the construction firm involved in building the transport network.
Spirtzis gave the committee two weeks to deliver a report on how the project, which has stalled due to a series of legal obstacles, can move forward.
