Panousis says will not be a candidate in snap elections
Alternate Citizens' Protection Minister Yiannis Panousis has said he will not be a candidate in the country's early elections, expected in September.
“I will not be a candidate in the elections,” said Panousis during an event organized by the Hellenic Police's cyber crimes unit on Wednesday.
Panousis said that despite his departure, he was willing to provide any help that was necessary.
“I am a teacher, not a politician,” said Panousis, a known criminologist that has for years lectured at the University of Athens.
