Man arrested in Crete as part of nationwide crackdown on drugs
Police in the Cretan port of Iraklio on Monday detained a 22-year-old Albanian national after finding 5 kilograms of cannabis in his possession.
The haul came after a nationwide crackdown over the weekend with police cracking a racket in Attica after seizing 300 kilos of cannabis at the homes and in the cars of three alleged ring members.
Coast guard officers arrested 21 people on drug-related charges in different parts of the country over the course of a crackdown between August 22 and September 17, according to figures released on Monday.
