Rhodes police close in on ring of fuel thieves
Police on the Dodecanese island of Rhodes believe they have found the perpetrators behind a ring that had been systematically stealing heating oil from the island’s general hospital and selling it on the black market.
Warrants have been issued for the arrest of three Albanian nationals, aged 20, 22 and 41, as well as a 40-year-old Greek, who are suspected of siphoning the fuel from the central tanks and into drums on a specially modified vehicle once a week for the past three years.
