Metro and railway stoppages on Monday
There will be no metro service in Athens from 9 p.m. onwards on Monday due to a work stoppage by employees.
The metro workers’ union SELMA said that the action is being held to show its members' opposition to privatizations.
Also on Monday, there will be cancellations of numerous inter-city train services due to a stoppage by Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) between noon and 3 p.m.
They are also protesting privatization plans.
