Two killed in pileup on Athens-Corinth highway

Two people were killed and one person was injured in a pileup near Kinetta on the Athens-Corinth highway on Wednesday night.

According to traffic police, the accident occurred when a truck lost control and crashed through a road divider, colliding with an oncoming car heading to Athens.

Two more trucks failed to break in time and rammed into the crashed vehicles. The two car passengers died in the hospital while one of the truck drivers was injured.

In another accident on Crete on Thursday, a mother and her daughter and one man died after a head-on collision between two cars on the highway outside Iraklio.
