Crete blaze brought under partial control
Firefighters on the island of Crete on Monday managed to bring a large blaze under partial control after several hours.
The fire broke out near the village of Apesokari, in the prefecture of Iraklio, and was fanned by strong winds.
A total 20 firefighters, manning 10 fire engines, were involved in the effort to contain the blaze.
