Greek-owned tanker seized off Libya

The Greek-owned tanker Panomaris was reportedly seized on Thursday by local authorities off the coast of Libya, according to Russia’s Zvezda television channel.

The vessel had nine crew members on board – one Greek, three Russians and five Ukrainians.

It was still not clear on Friday what the reason for the ship’s detention was and which authorities in the troubled North African nation were involved.
