Ties between Roupakias, GD under scrutiny in court
The alleged ties between Giorgos Roupakias, the self-confessed killer of rapper Pavlos Fyssas, and Golden Dawn, became the subject of questions addressed to the defendant’s sister, Chryssoula Roupakia, in court on Thursday.
Lawyers for the prosecution showed the witness photographs of her brother attending Golden Dawn events. One of the photos showed her brother’s son posing next to Giorgos Patelis, the head of Golden Dawn’s cell in Nikaia, near Piraeus.
“Would you trust a stranger to be photographed with your child?,” a lawyer for the prosecution asked the witness, who did not answer.
The witness was also asked about the murder weapon – a knife – which she had already testified she had purchased herself.
