Police shut down illegal casino in Athens, 36 people arrested
Police on Friday raided a shop in the Kallithea neighborhood of Athens, arresting 36 people, including the 44-year-old store manager, in connection with an illegal casino that was allegedly operating there.
The store had an iron door which would only be opened to visitors following a search.
The 36 suspects were to face a prosecutor in Piraeus later in the day as the search continued for the owner of the store.
