Nikos Tsiartsionis. An architect by profession, he was elected parliamentary deputy for Kozani. He was also a member of the group of «captains» who threw their weight behind Karamanlis for party leader. He has served in local government, and was elected in 1986 to Kozani’s municipal council. In 1990, he was candidate for mayor. He was first elected to Parliament in 2000, and this is his first Cabinet post.
