Dimitris Sioufas. One of the party’s most senior parliamentary deputies, Sioufas has been in Parliament continually since 1981. He headed the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Social Security in the Mitsotakis administration, pushing forward the social security reform program. Since 2000, he has been general secretary of the party’s parliamentary group and one of Karamanlis’s most important aides.
