Syntagma metro station closed for security reasons
The Greek Police has ordered that the Syntagma station of the Athens metro be closed on Friday morning as part of security measures for the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Trains will pass through the station without stopping.
Following a tense visit in Athens Thursday, the Turkish President was scheduled to travel privately on Friday to the northeastern region of Thrace where the Muslim minority lives.
