Halcyon days came to an end…
Two young tourists from Argentina survey a cloudy Athens from Lycabettus Hill yesterday, as the sunny halcyon days came to an end. A cold spell is expected to hit most of the country from tomorrow, with snow forecast for Attica and possibly the center of Athens. The weather is only forecast to start improving on Wednesday. Deputy Public Order Minister Christos Markoyiannakis chaired a meeting yesterday with senior police and fire brigade officials to discuss preparations for problems expected to be caused by rainstorms and snowfall.
