Greeks dream of Europe, travel in Greece
Only 2 percent of Greeks say they will travel to another part of Europe this year, which indicates that our budgets won’t allow us to fulfill our dreams. But 45 percent would like to travel on the continent. France and Germany are the most popular destinations, with 11 percent of Greeks citing a preference for each country. The idea of traveling to Europe attracts all age groups: Among those over 65, the figure is 39 percent, compared with 33 percent of those who would prefer to travel in Greece. In the 25-34 age group, more than half (56 percent) are keen on traveling to Europe, while quite a few (16 percent) dream of Asia, leaving Greece in third place (10 percent).
