A basketball court…

A basketball court was submerged in water yesterday in the area of Pythion, north of Didymoteicho, northeastern Greece, where hundreds of hectares of farmland flooded due to the overflowing of the Evros River. The river’s water level subsided yesterday to 5.6 meters from 6.15 meters the previous day. The emergency level is 5.7 meters. Officials said that the reduction of water flowing in from Bulgaria helped to ease the situation.
