Soccer ground
Which of Dora Bakoyannis’s decisions will you go ahead with and which do you plan to overturn? My principle is not to talk about the past. And that’s what will happen if I am elected. I have no hang-ups about proving that I am not just a continuation of my predecessor. I will continue any positive steps that Bakoyannis took – and there were many of them. For example, sprucing up the facades of buildings and her promise to refurbish [the area of] Votanikos where the Panathinaikos soccer stadium will be. Will that soccer ground be built at long last? Of course it will. I am obliged to go ahead with the plan and [Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works Minister] Giorgos Souflias, a Panathinaikos fan, will help overcome any problems.
