The Constitution
Article 15 of the Greek Constitution is clear: «Radio and television come under the immediate jurisdiction of the state. Monitoring and the imposition of penalties are the exclusive responsibility of the National Radio and Television Council,» which was set up for the purpose of ensuring «a quality standard of programs… respect for human dignity and protection of minors.» The Council was to meet yesterday to examine everything relating to this case that has been reported in the media.
