Monday The Hellenic Foreign Trade Board hosts a meeting between Greek businessmen and the Korea Importers’ Association at the Athenaeum Inter-Continental Hotel in Athens. The meeting aims to promote Greek export products to the region. The Consular Section of the United States Embassy in Athens is closed to the public for internal administrative reasons. Workers are reacting to the introduction of an EU directive dictating that doctors work no more than 58 hours a week. They are insisting that their wages remain unchanged and are calling for the recruitment of more staff. A 48-hour hospital strike is planned for December 5 and 6.
