Protesters hold up a banner that offers their support to the ‘defiant Palestinian people’ as they march in front of the US Embassy in central Athens on Saturday shortly after midday. Chanting anti-war slogans, Greeks and Palestinians living in Greece held a peaceful march that started from Eleftherias Park and wound up outside the Israeli Embassy. Representatives from non-government organizations, union groups and leftist political parties also took part in the protest march.
