OPINION

Up to the institutions

The Greek state has all the necessary institutional tools at its disposal as it seeks to uphold the rule of law.

It has very specific instruments with which it can probe whether excessive force was used during a particular incident, both at the police and the judicial level.

The self-styled prompters who issue verdicts (whether these are guilty verdicts or not) in an arbitrary fashion do no service in the pursuit of the truth.
