An open wound

Athens has attracted big tourism investments. Meanwhile, a lot of public space in the Greek capital’s has been in a state of abandonment for years, much to the detriment of the people who live and work in these areas.

Social and economic reasons dictate that the authorities crack down on rampant lawlessness in the city center. The least that the citizens of Athens can expect from their officials is that they fulfill this fundamental role of the state.
