Cultural pockets
Athens has suffered a lot as a city. However, it still maintains in its historic center some pockets of urban culture, such as the old cinemas, which should not fall into disrepair.
They should not be left to chance and the burden of economic circumstances but should be treated as preserved elements of culture that deserve to survive.
The financial cost of rescuing them will be negligible. The intangible cost of their loss, however, is great.
