All about the numbers

Greece’s political parties may be divided on a lot of things. But when it comes to the cost of the measures they are proposing to introduce if they are elected to government, there is no excuse for confusion and a difference of opinion.

Numbers are objective, so when we’re talking about the economic programs being developed by the different parties, citizens need to know that the numbers they are being presented with are true.

The proposal to assign an independent agency the task of assessing the cost of these programs would contribute to transparency and make the discussion on the parties’ platforms more meaningful.
