Journalistic confidentiality must be respected by everyone and cannot be protected a la carte, depending on who is behind a journalistic investigation.

We need investigative journalism, as long as it respects the elementary code of conduct, in order to exercise control and create a legitimate fear of publicizing criminal acts, or simply irresponsible handling of events.
