A historic step
The governing majority in Parliament took a historic step on Friday, which, unfortunately, no opposition party followed.
The anachronistic monopoly in higher education has been broken. The challenge now is for private universities to form a new ecosystem that will maintain a high standard of quality.
This requires checks and methodical application of the guarantees of the new law.
