An end to the drama, finally

If the histrionics, over-the-top reactions and institutional acrobatics of the last couple of months had been avoided, the media landscape would have been regulated some time ago rather than being in the mess it has been in for so long.

The good news is that consensus has finally been reached between the political parties over the issue of the National Television and Radio Council and this should pave the way to settling the broadcasting license issue. But the fact remains that we could have avoided a whole lot of drama that did a lot of harm to the political climate and, more importantly, to the country’s institutions.
