ALIKI NOR: Aliki Nor, the distinguished writer Ilias Venezis and director Greg Tallas met at the Kyveli Theater yesterday for a press conference along with the great theater actress Kyveli, to announce Nor’s return to the theater. Also being announced was the name of the play in which she will make her comeback. Visibly moved, Nor expressed her great excitement at the fact that after an absence of approximately 19 years she will resume a career that began when she was just a child. «My joy,» continued Aliki, «is all the greater because I will be making my comeback in a Greek play which moves me deeply and will help me do my best for the Greek public.» The play is Venezis’s »Galini,» which has been very successful as a book. The novel has been adapted as play by the author himself in cooperation with N. Matsas, to whom Venezis expressed his gratitude. KALOMIRIS: Manolis Kalomiris’s «Mother’s Ring» is to be performed again tonight at the Herod Atticus Theater by the Greek National Opera. Next Friday will be the premiere of Beethoven’s «Fidelio,» starring artists from abroad, who arrive tomorrow, under the musical direction of Andreas Paridis.
