MURDERS IN CYPRUS: Nicosia, 11 – The specter of bloodshed is already hanging over Cyprus, as the death toll grows by the day. In the space of 24 hours, eight Cypriots (six Greeks and two Turks) have been killed. CYPRUS ISSUE: London, 11 – According to reports this evening from Agence France-Presse, citing well-informed sources, British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan is to meet shortly with Greek Prime Minister Constantine Karamanlis for talks on the Cyprus issue in Geneva or any other neutral European capital. A Foreign Office spokesman, commenting on reports in British newspapers regarding summit talks on the issue after Karamanlis’s arrival in Geneva, confirmed that there were no preparations for a tripartite meeting on the Cyprus issue, but that observations attributed to Prime Minister Karamanlis on his arrival in Geneva had been noted. AUTUMN COOL: Yesterday, in mid-July, the weather suddenly turned as cool as in fall. The unusual weather conditions for this time of year were due to an unexpected cool front, according to the national weather bureau.
