Nip new terrorism in the bud

We are seeing a new generation of terrorists emerging here in Greece and this is an extremely dangerous development that could hurt the country on many different levels. The murderous attack against a group of police officers is but the most recent example of their activities. The Public Order Ministry has not kept a close eye on these developments, despite the fact that in the period since the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, the country has experienced a surge in similar terror attacks. The ministry must repair this oversight now, before we find ourselves mourning more victims and before the entire concept of the state becomes completely ridiculous. As far as those who have decided to embark upon such misguided and collective attacks against the police force, hopefully they will also come to understand the magnitude of the damage their actions have done to the country. In turn, we, the public, must not dismiss these young terrorists and hide behind the infantile conspiracy theories about foreign agents and provocateurs being the driving forces behind them.
