Greek classes; spring baazar
Omilo, a modern Greek language school based in Athens, offers the opportunity to learn Greek in wonderful locations around the country.
Beyond the courses offered at their home school in Maroussi, they also offer intensive classes in Nafplio around Easter as well as in the islands of Syros and Andros over the course of the summer season.
There are classes available for all levels, with six options to choose from, ranging from beginner to advanced. On the first day of class, a test is assigned to determine the proper placement of students.
The courses in both Syros and Andros incorporate four hours of lessons, from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. every day, while a variety of cultural activities and excursions are offered in the afternoon. There is the option of choosing a course with a duration of either 1 or 2 weeks.
Omilo also offers to book accommodation for participants at all of the locations where they hold classes.
Along with the classes they conduct in Athens, Omilo is currently booking for the following dates and locations: Andros June 26 – July 8 and Syros from July 17-29, August 28 – September 9 and September 11-23.

Spring bazaar at St Paul?s
St Paul?s Anglican Episcopal Church (27 Philellinon, Syntama; opposite main entrance to Zappeion Gardens) is holding its annual spring bazaar on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will feature goodies of all types that include home-made cakes, jams, chutneys and gourmet preserves. Also up for sale will be handicrafts, greeting cards, a wide variety of jewelery, as well as a selection of products from the UK. A book sale will also be set up, where prices will range from 50 cents to 3 euros.
