Consular Corps visits Mount Athos

The Consular Corps in Greece, established in 1972 with the purpose of developing relations among its members and the host country, recently completed a trip to the monastic community of Mount Athos in northeastern Greece, which was attended by many of the Corps? members and organized by Seychelles honorary consul Loucas Ellinas.

The diplomats and consular officers who attended the trip were taken on a tour of the monasteries of Aghios Panteleimonas, Vatopedi, Aghios Andreas Skete and Aghios Dionysios over the course of their three-day visit and were also shown around Vatopedi?s library of rare books and manuscripts and its museum by Abbot Ephraim.
