First La Coruna, then Olympiakos for Javito

Javito left Aris to join Deportivo La Coruna, the Spanish side announced on February 1, ahead of his planned move to Olympiakos in the summer.

The Spaniard will be a Depor player for the next five months, on loan from Aris until the end of his contract with the Thessaloniki club.

“I have come to play for La Coruna until the end of the season, but if Depor wishes to hold on to me after the summer it will have to speak to Olympiakos, with whom I have signed a contract that will be valid as of July 1,» Javito told journalists in Spain.

The Spanish midfielder spent four-and-a-half years at Aris. He played 169 games in all competitions and scored 21 goals.

Aris will be facing Manchester City later this month for the Europa League.

The club has not yet replaced departed manager Hector Raul Cuper, as caretaker Yiannis Michalitsos has been faring relatively well and the club is considering giving him the coaching job on a permanent basis.
