Club boss and faction continue war of words
An exchange of hostile remarks between Panathinaikos soccer boss Yiannis Vardinoyiannis and the Panathinaikos Unifying Movement (PEK), a group of entrepreneurs dissatisfied with the administration, continued yesterday with a PEK statement saying the club’s ownership lived in «virtual reality, far from the principles, tradition and wishes of Panathinaikos fans.» A day earlier, Vardinoyiannis spoke of an «artificial crisis,» adding that «Panathinaikos is top, whether some people like it or not.»
