Atromitos signs Premier League veteran Camara Atromitos secured the first major signing for Greek soccer for this summer by acquiring Senegal striker Henri Camara for next season. The 33-year-old forward, who has scored 31 goals for his country in 99 games, came to Athens late on Sunday and by Tuesday afternoon had signed a contract with Atromitos. The Peristeri side announced that it was «the biggest signing in the club’s history.» Camara spent three years in France and two in Switzerland before moving to England in 2003 to join Wolves. He also played at Southampton, Wigan, West Ham, Stoke and Sheffield United, as well as Celtic in Scotland. «I was very impressed by the training center of the club. All conditions are excellent,» said Camara in a statement to the Atromitos website.
